vision, objectives + obstacles
Attune Psychotherapy is a boutique therapy cohort located in NYC. They needed a website that was the delicate combination of accessible, modern, and premium at the same time. They needed a custom search and filter system to help users match with a therapist, as well as a user-friendly way to display important clinical and diagnostic information.
We decided on a custom therapist search function that includes both a dropdown system and an icon key to allow users to sort through clinicians using two different methods simultaneously.
Attune expressed that the language typically used to describe mental health treatment often feels intimidating and clinical, and can be an obstacle in and of itself barring patients from beginning therapy. By removing this language and adding simple icons instead, we achieved a much better UX, in both the functional sense and the emotional one. The page is digestible, clear, and welcoming.
